In Depth

Technology

The robot used for cleaning oil tanks with high-pressure jet nozzles is a specialized, unmanned device designed to safely and efficiently remove sludge, debris, and residues from the interior surfaces of industrial storage tanks. Here’s a brief description:

Design and Structure:

• The robot is compact, durable, and equipped with tracks, allowing it to navigate inside the tank.

• It features a high-pressure jet nozzle mounted on a rotating arm, which can direct powerful streams of water or cleaning agents across all tank surfaces.

Operation:

• The robot is remotely controlled by operators outside the tank, ensuring safety by eliminating the need for human entry into potentially hazardous environments.

Capabilities:

• The high-pressure jets are powerful enough to break down and dislodge tough sludge, scale, and other residues.

• The robot’s design includes sensors and cameras, allowing operators to monitor the cleaning process in real-time and make adjustments as needed.

• It can work in various types of tanks, including those with complex geometries or confined spaces.

Advantages:

• Reduces human exposure to dangerous conditions, such as toxic fumes and confined spaces.

• Increases cleaning efficiency and consistency compared to manual methods.

• Minimizes downtime for the tank, allowing for quicker return to service.

This robotic technology represents a significant advancement in industrial tank cleaning, offering enhanced safety, effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
